Town Plan
It is a number of years since the previous Town Plan was produced. Because Communities are always changing it is important for you to say what you want doing in your Neighbourhood and Town.
Sandown Community Partnership is in the process of updating the Town Plan and for it to be successful it must involve the whole community and everyone should have a chance to have their say. It must be based upon information provided by you and our community participating in our surveys and research.

Sandown Town Councillors have to produce a Traffic Plan for Sandown.
This cannot be done without YOUR help as it has to be a plan that the whole of the community has contributed to and only you, know the needs and problems you and your family encounter, especially in the area in which you live. The questionnaire is the first phase and you will be consulted again when the results have been analyzed, before the Plan is produced.
You may ask, why Councillors want a Traffic Plan for Sandown. The answer is without a Traffic and Transport Plan Sandown Town Councillors are not able to produce evidence of problems or improvements that are needed, that would enable them to press for money, that can be allocated by the Isle of Wight Council for schemes that will solve some of the problems in Sandown.
This is an opportunity for you to have your say, on traffic flow and anything that could be changed to make pedestrians feel safer and driving a car in Sandown less stressful. The last questionnaire that was undertaken over 3 years ago. This was done to obtain Civic Realm money and this was successful, so you will not be wasting your time filling in this questionnaire.
