Advice on what you must do in a heat wave to prevent you becoming ill.
OPTIO VOLUNTARY CAR SERVICE
If you are elderly frail or less mobile and are unable to access public transport to get appointments and access services you need YOU are eligible for the voluntary car service.
A Network of volunteer drivers give there time freely, using their own cars to provide a door to door service to take you to Medical appointments, Hospital appointments/visits, Day Centres, Visiting friends, Social trips, Memory clubs /activities and shopping.
To book phone 522226 journeys must be arranged at least 24 hrs in advance.
You are charged from the drivers home at 40p per mile minimum cost of £2.50 per trip.
