Sandown Observers
Dates of Meeting 2008 All held at the Broadway Centre on the 1st Mondayof the month at 7.30pm till 8.30pm
We are a group of 150+ Volunteers and growing, that want to help Sandown be a Better and Safer Town
We walk around Sandown as much or as little as we want
Just looking out for one another and our town.
We OBSERVE, reporting anything that is needed and working along side the Police to help prevent crime.
We Meet Once a Month with the Police, being updated with what is happening in Sandown.
We have a police voice mail, where we can get details on which areas need observing and leave details for police that are not urgent.
What is nice about the Observers is that it builds a community that care and helping the police by reporting crime can only be a good thing.
We have had 6 arrests and many prevention of Crime.
It has been heard that some of the Naughty people hang out in Shanklin or Ryde now as you never know when those ‘DO GOODERS’ will come around the corner.
We range from 25yrs old to 94yrs old. Just people that care and are active.
Moaning doesn’t get you any were! But helping Does!
